I live at No.486 Avenue Joffre Shanghai aforesaid.

11. My nationality by Birth is Turkish but that I have since

the year 1893 (save for my present residence in Shanghai) resided

in British Dominions and that all my sympathies are wholly

British.

12. I married on the 15th October 1912 at the British Consulate

Shanghai Luna Howard who was a British subject born in Calcutta

and who died in Hongkong on the 22nd August 1914 leaving no issue

of the said marriage and that I am now a widower.

13. My father was named Menashih Abdulla Joseph and my mother

was named Rachael Raphael Joseph (née Ezra) and that my parents

were both Turkish Subjects my father the said Menashih Abdulla

Joseph was employed as Mercantile Assistant in the Mercantile

Firm of Messrs. David Sassoon and Company at Hongkong for 8 years

namely from the year 1886 to the year 1894 and that he then re-

tired from his said employment and resided in Hongkong until the

14th day of May 1903 when he died in Hongkong, my mother never

resided in Hongkong but resided in Bagdad for many years and sub-

sequently in India and in Shanghai and died at the last named

place on the 29th day of September 1913.
